Lake Tahoe News apologizes for publishing wrong information.

“Our dispatch center cross referenced another person and vehicle with the same accident number. We have cleared up the issue,” Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Dave Gibson told Lake Tahoe News.

Jose Cruz Calvillo-Vasquez of Sun Valley was traveling east on Highway 50 at 9:35pm when he struck a bear in the fast lane and knocked it into the slow westbound lane.

No people were injured.
