Bandit
Bandit is a beautiful purebred St. Bernard. She is so youthful in appearance and behavior that it is hard to believe she is 8 years old.
She is tall, and seems to be at her ideal weight. Bandit has a beautiful coat and is very well behaved. She jumps tall fences and she will chase cats and possibly small dogs. Bandit loves children and sleeping in beds with her people.
Bandit is spayed, microchipped, tested for heartworm, and vaccinated. She is at the El Dorado County Animal Services shelter in Meyers, along with many other dogs and cats who are waiting for their new homes.

If jumping tall fences and chasing cats and dogs is called well behaved, it would be interesting to read about what behavior the animal shelter considers bad in a large dog.
Thanks for reading my description of Bandit! She is well-behaved in that she doesn’t jump on people or bark a lot. But we’ve been told that she does jump fences, probably when she is bored or left alone for a long time. And it is not uncommon for dogs to chase cats or other small animals – it may be a result of limited training and socialization.
As with any dog, Bandit will benefit from attention, training, and affection from her new owners, and will be a great pet for a family.
