Tahoe youth accuses camp leader of sexual advances
A 22-year-old man from Sonora is accused of sexting a 14-year-old Meyers boy.
Brandon Moe met the teen at a summer camp outside the basin. Moe was the youth’s cabin leader.
Following the boy’s return home the two communicated via text and Facebook, according to El Dorado County sheriff’s deputies.
“When the child’s mother detected that the communications had changed from innocent to inappropriate and sexual she contacted the sheriff’s office,” Sgt. Michael Seligsohn said in a statement.
Moe was arrested Aug. 11 on a charge of distributing or exhibiting lewd material to a minor. Bail was set at $1 million.
