Burglary suspect arrested in Truckee
A suspected burglar entered a Truckee residence Sept. 23 when the owner and her infant were home.
The suspect fled the Estates Drive house when confronted by the woman.
Three days later Truckee police officers arrested Angel Torres of Truckee on charges of outstanding burglary warrant, possession of a controlled substance, possession of stolen property and burglary. Bail was set at $100,000.
Officers said the located stolen property consisting of numerous prescription pills that are scheduled as a controlled substance. Further investigation revealed these items were taken in a different residential burglary.
