1,000 pounds of pot found during King Fire

Police found about 1,000 pounds of marijuana that had been smuggled out of one of the evacuated communities in El Dorado County during the King Fire, officers said Monday.
“Although our officers were busy with road closures during the King Fire, enforcement did not stop,” the Placerville California Highway Patrol posted on Facebook, along with photos of the apparent drug bust.
Damn it! Another tragedy !
If you go to KRCA and look at the CHP picture, you’ll see a 1,000 pounds of plant material that would yield maybe 10 pounds. Everything the government and police are saying is badly misinformed or worse. Here is the latest research that shows just how dishonest our elected officials have been about the alleged threat of weed to kids:

In fact, California teenagers showed improvements in all risk areas after reform.”

the best news I can tell is the pot growers from across the street are GONE. YIPPEE! and our neighborhood dosent stink any more.
Use of MJ causes documented psychosis of the brain as reported earlier this year in studies from the UK. The very few medical patients with severe conditions can obtain non-THC strains and in pill form from their doctor. The rest of the people are using it to get stoned. The use of recreational MJ should continue to be illegal.
Like most laws, there’s a middle ground. Steve knows this. Marijuana has caused me a great deal of problems. I was heavily addicted to it. I understand people can use it responsibly, I’m just not one of them. I hope pot is fully legalized just so people can use it recreationally. I will also be trilled to see it regulated I the price fall so low. Local dealers won’t be motivated to have grow houses. Pot effects everyone differently. Not everyone that smokes pot will go on to harder drugs and fail in life. But if you talk to people that are involved in harder drugs and have substance abuse issues. Most of them started with weed. Do all pot smoking kids fail in school? No, but, find the dropouts and the ones failing and you’ll probably find pot somewhere in the story. People have a right to live the way they choose. But please don’t call it a harmless plant, it’s not.

Justice, why do you even bother to pretend that you believe in freedom? If you don’t want to smoke pot, don’t. Or do you think that if you’re on a diet, ice cream should be against the law?
