Be smart when dealing with frozen pipes
With the onset of really cold weather, frozen water pipes are inevitable.
Unfortunately, along with this problem, the fire department responds to an increase of structure fires caused by residents trying to quick fix the problem themselves. Instead of using space heaters, torches, or other hot flame devices to thaw pipes, call a professional plumber to get the water flowing again.
In the long run, it’s much cheaper and effective than burning the house down around those frozen pipes.

Clark has gone downhill with customer service. I wouldn’t call them.
Clark is my go to plumbing business. Tom, Kristen, Katie they are all great.
Used to be mine for 23yrs until recently. Never call us back, been waiting for about 3 weeks now. We always have to call them and have gotten very little results. They never used to be like this.
Many times the main problem with customer service is the customer.
Not in this case.
Frozen pipes? When the rental has frozen pipes in the bathroom, I try to fix it myself with a portable propane heater. Some times that works some times not.
After several attempts and the pipes are still frozen, I call Nixon’s (541-2353) and they wil get you all fixed up.
I did everything I could think of to stop this from happening. Tore off the siding and installed new insulation, new pipes run in from the street, had the bathroom completely remodeled and the plumbing redone.
So if you own or rent a house that was built in the 1940’s you have to deal with it and try and make it right. Don’t do anything stupid and cause a fire as Sallie Ross- Figo said.
