Significant storm heading toward Lake Tahoe
A storm coming from the Gulf of Alaska is expected to wallop the Sierra midweek.
Rain and snow will arrive in eastern California-western Nevada late Wednesday-early Thursday.
Forecasters with the National Weather Service are not putting a snow total amount out yet. It will depend how the system moves as to how much snow falls above or below the 7,000-foot mark. Snow is expected to start at 7,500 feel and then drop.
The warning for now is to be prepared. Travel over the mountain passes will be affected. Check the state icons on the home page of Lake Tahoe News for current road conditions.

Wouldn’t that be nice!
Doing my snow dance! Pray for snow!
We’ll see.
Hope this storm lives up to its expectations. A good time to fill up on fuel for the old truck as prices are relativitely low and also adds weight to your drive wheels. Make sure your pantry is well stocked and all your “summer stuff” is put away and your “winter stuff ” is at the ready.
I did’nt realize how much stuff had gathered by the garden and campfire this past summer. I had to put it all into the shed, gardening tools, and yard stuff. Glad it’s almost done.
So lets hope we get alot of snow! Then we can complain about snow removal! If it’s not one thing it’s another.
Good night , Old (sore back) Long Skiis
YIPPEE, lets hope it dumps a bunch of snow. Lets get this season started…:)
