DRI seeks opportunities to boost snowpack

As the dry weather pattern continues in Northern Nevada, scientists at the Desert Research Institute are keeping their eyes on the skies and watching for any and all opportunities to help turn things around.

So far, they’ve used their equipment along the crest of the Sierra for about 68 hours this season.

Climatologists say that while they have no evidence that winter will stay dry, they also don’t have any evidence it will turn around.
