Nev. has most divorced people in the country
By Kristen DeSilva, Las Vegas Review-Journal
Sure, Las Vegas is the marriage capital of the world, but Nevada is also number one when it comes to divorce.
In fact, 13.9 percent of Nevadans over 15 have been divorced, or about 30,000 people. The average in the United States is 10.8 percent.
With Nevada at No. 1, we fall ahead of Maine, with 13.5 percent of their population divorced. Neighbors California and Utah are at 9.6 and 9.2 percent, respectively.
Well isn’t THAT surprising?
Big fat deal. It’s just a useless statistic. What’s not included here is how many have remarried, or even those with multiple divorces.
