6-month sentence in Truckee carjacking case
A Las Vegas man was sentenced last week to 180 days in Nevada County jail for an attempted carjacking in Truckee in October.
Nathan Daniel Jones, 29, in January pleaded no contest to an assault charge.
In addition to the time behind bars, Jones will be on three years supervised probation.
Jones was originally arrested on two counts of attempted carjacking, felony battery, battery on a peace officer, resisting arrest, possession of an illegal weapon and possession of a pound of suspected marijuana.

Got. Off. Easy. 1 month per crime. Weapons. Drugs. Battery on a cop. Carjacking. Crime doesn’t pay. Does he get out early for good behavior?
More filthy ANIMALS from down south invading our community and terrorizing our citizens. This is what you get when you elect traitors like INSANE HUSSEIN and Gov Moonbeam to office. When will this country WAKE UP and take back America!?!?
Oh wait… he’s white? Nevermind.
What do they think he will do when he gets out early and needs a ride back home? This guy’s trouble must go way back from his neck tatt criminal stamp that says “I be trouble” to his latest criminal history.
6 months for carjacking and assaulting a peace officer? Unbelievable!
What possible positive contribution to society could this puke give? Sterilize him at the very least.
Just a dog ? Your middle name must be cj..or bo, or justanass…
We can only hope the next person he tries to carjack (and he will try) has a bullet for an answer right in the face.
