South Lake Tahoe has changed the dates of the spring Citizens Academy. The academy will be on consecutive Wednesdays from 5:30-8pm beginning May 6 and running through June 17.

The change is to avoid potential conflicts with the South Tahoe Action Team (STAT) class which will be April 2-23.

The Citizens Academy is a free, seven session interactive course designed to provide residents with an in-depth look into municipal government, as well as, information about the services and programs of the city of South Lake Tahoe.

Participants are required to complete an application by April 24 at 5pm. Applications and the course outline are online.
