• Nevada gained an estimated 42,334 people from July 2013 to July 2014, according to the state Demographer’s Office. This is about 1.5 percent, about equivalent to the increase of 1.8 percent the prior year, but higher than the 2011-12 period when the state grew by 1 percent.
