Artwork sought for Champions Plaza

South Lake Tahoe is seeking an artist to create an original art piece and/or flag design to be permanently displayed at the city’s newly established Champions Plaza, located on the corner of Highway 50 and Lakeview Avenue within the Lakeview Commons area.

On the heels of the 2014 Winter Olympics, in which several local athletes earned Olympic medals, the idea of creating a Champions Plaza was born. To honor and recognize these athletes, and all local athletes who have achieved national and world titles, the City Council approved the construction and design of a Champions Plaza.

Proposals are due by noon June 12.
