Ceremony at Truckee baseball field to honor former player, coach

Truckee will honor two former members of the baseball team with an appreciation ceremony on Saturday at the baseball field.
Former coach Mike Ellis, who died April 5, 2014, and former player Andrew Metlenko, who was killed in a car accident in spring of 2013, will both have plaques dedicated to their memories at the ceremony.
Truckee principal John Carlson said the ceremony will be held between games of a doubleheader against Lowry starting at 11am Saturday.
