• Here is the El Dorado-Tahoe roadwork schedule from Caltrans for this week.

• There are now no Carrows restaurants in the Lake Tahoe Basin. The last South Lake Tahoe eatery closed last week. Reports are that it is becoming a chicken wings type food place.

• Tahoe Truckee Earth Day is April 18 from 11am-5pm at Squaw Valley.

• Wednesday’s from May 6-June 10, 7:30-9am Tahoe Institute for Natural Science will be leading bird walks at the Village Green, 960 Lakeshore Blvd., Incline Village.

• Incline Village’s Mountain Golf Course opens May 1 and the Championship Course opens May 8.
