Cinder the bear’s story retold in book

Another bear rehabbed at Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care has been immortalized in a book.

“Cinder the Bear” is expected to be released June 3 — the same day the bear will return to the wild.

The bear came to LTWC in August 2014 after having been burned in a wildfire in Washington. In November, the cub was transported to Idaho Black Bear Rehabilitation Center.

Li’l Smokey was the first LTWC cub to be written about in a book.

    Hi.

I would very much love to send a gift copy of “Cinder the Bear” to my grandchildren, in Los Angeles. Other than your brief piece (and a few words about the book, in a news story this morning, on CBS), I can’t find a mention of it, anywhere online. Can you refer me to the publisher, or distributor?

    Thanks .

    Hope
