CalFire crews made quick work of a fire in Strawberry off Highway 50 on Monday.

The tenth of an acre fire burned on state land. It was reported in the early evening of June 15.

The cause is under investigation. It was not a burn day and no lightning was occurring.

“We want to make sure people do defensible space and do the right thing the right way, using the right power tools when doing clearances,” Brice Bennett with CalFire told Lake Tahoe News.
