A free weekend shuttle service in Incline Village starts June 27.

Incline Village General Improvement District is providing the service for local and tourist beginning June 27. The shuttle will run on weekends through Aug. 16. It will also be available July 3. The hours are from 10am-7pm, though it will be extended July 3 and July 4.

There will be seven stops throughout Incline, with a bus coming by every hour.

The $15,000 to run the program is coming from IVGID’s beaches’ operating budget.

$15 grand seems very low for operating this service for a month and a half, but what a great deal. Good schedules and a great frequency.
I will be interested in how many people take advantage of the bus.

The elimination of parking on Hwy 28 is an interesting process. There must be something else other than the “public safety mantra” working here.

The expanded explanation says that walk in access to Sand Harbor is now forbidden? How are they going to enforce that? Is walking along Hwy 28 now a punishable offense? Has Hwy 28 also been restricted to no bicycles?

The times they are a changing!
