For people who have a valid ADA placard, special arrangements are necessary to reach the Vikingsholm area.

Call 530.525.9529 to check on the availability of the shuttle service that escorts people with mobility disabilities to the historic home and beach area. Reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance, and a $10 parking fee is charged.

This service is offered during the Vikingsholm tour season, which is now until September.

A great idea !!! As captain inthe past on the Tahoe Queen and more recently on the Tahoe Gal I speak about v holm everyday .
Access to the estate should be provided to every one on an equal basis, to include seniors .so many of us are getting old and those who visit Tahoe and have issue with the altitude should be given the same access as the folks with blue placards.
As many have seen some of the folks with nice blue placards pull into the nice blue parking spots jump out of their vehicles and shop as well as any able bodied person.
So how about just operating a shuttle down to V holm for $5:00 ????? Or even free ?
I’m sure the added revenue from more visitors to the site would pay for its self.
Let’s not start reverse discrimination ,
