2 Tahoe bears trapped, released

Two bears trapped in Lake Tahoe on Friday have since been released.

A 3-year-old, 175-pound bear was caught in Stateline. He was released in the Kingsbury Grade area on July 25. The 8-year-old Incline Village bear weighing 300 pounds was relocated to the Sweetwater Mountains southeast of Gardnerville.

Nevada Division of Wildlife is expecting a busy summer and fall with bear activity as the animals search for food — which in populated areas comes in the form of trash.
