Beach-wrestling tournament in South Lake Tahoe

The inaugural beach-wrestling tournament at El Dorado Beach is July 25 starting at 11am.

There will be kids as young as 5 competing, as well as high school students, an open division and a women’s event.

People younger than 18 compete for free. Open division wrestlers pay $5 each, with the winner getting half the purse.

    I did my share of beach wrestling back in the day at El Dorado Beach and out at Kiva beach but it was usually with a gal on an empty beach, and I would call it f#%^&*@!
    Boy, those were the days! Aahh yes, the glory days of “wrestling” on the beach under a full moon with my sweety! Good memories, OLS

    Long Skiis: Show up at the beach on Saturday at 12:00 noon so I can see you match up with STHS 2 time state place winner as a freshman and sophomore and current national competitor for the State of California Andrew Herrera. There will many other talented wrestlers are expected to participate.
