Electronic music fest coming to Hard Rock
Bass Camp Festival III at Hard Rock Lake Tahoe on July 25 will feature Zeds Dead and Kill the Noise as part of the BaseJam Summer 2015 Outdoor Concert Series.
With firm roots planted in the underground electronic music scene, Zeds Dead saw a meteoric rise to international superstardom following their 2010 live debut at a seedy dive-bar in Toronto. Headlining with Zeds Dead at this year’s festival is American “brostep” disc jockey Kill the Noise. Known off-stage as Jake Stanczak, Kill the Noise has performed on EDM’s biggest stages including Coachella, Electronic Daisy Carnival (EDC) Las Vegas, and Lollapalooza.
There will be more than 30 industry veterans and rising rookies like Savoy, UZ, Tommie Sunshine and Liquid Todd.
The daylong festival begins at 11am. Tickets for Bass Camp Festival III are available online and start at $60.
Just my opinion here, but “electronic music” has the same qualities that “silicone breasts” has…
Dumb is as dumb does! Much electronic music is rooted in complex arrangements with subtle nuances. My bet is you have never been to a show or listened in depth to this genre. Nobody cares about your uneducated opinion on something you know nothing about. Go back to your Lawrence Welk 45s.
Now I get it. I have always wondered what the sock heads were saying with the vibrating bass you can here blocks away.
Dumb to dumb dumb dumb to dumb dumb.
If the music has subtle complex nuances how come they play it so loud you can hear it a mile away?
I would much rather listen to Lawrence Welk than an amplified arch welder.
Funny the older I get the smarter my parents seem.
Another electronic music fest. Hopefully this one won’t rattle my windows like snowglobe does.
Be prepared stateline residents bcause there is a good chance the heavy thump thump is headed your way. OLS
TBW. needs his coffee
Not rattling windows!! Oh gosh! “Dang these kids and their rock and roll”. Never ceases to amaze that each generation of Americans is more ignorant than the last. We never learn, we never open our minds or progress. You guys sound like you belong in a lab coat facility in Switzerland.
Blue,
Do you think rattling windows is the best way to enjoy the subtle nuances of your complex music?
Also do you really believe some freak playing his lap top qualifies as rock and roll?
I think the music is best enjoyed by some sock head driving around in his Subaru with a BUZZ muffler while the passenger takes selfies.
Sunriser2! RAOTFLMAO!
This is nothing new. The older generation knocking the younger generations music.
“His kind of music is deplorable, a rancid smelling aphrodisiac . . . It fosters almost totally negative and destructive reactions in young people.”
—Frank Sinatra speaking about Elvis Presley.
Bigger,
I don’t care what they listen to just keep it away from me. Some people enjoy Mexican tuba music but they don’t drive up and down the street thumping.
To quote an old rocker “I don’t care if you have sex with a diseased goat in a hot tub full of yogurt, just don’t splash me”. (Ted Nugent)
Ted, I just crapped myself, nugent quote first thing in the morning is enough to make my coffee come back up….yuck….
I took my 13 year old son to see imagine dragons last night and it was his first concert (the ones when he was a little guy dont count apparently). He was timid at first and then he was rocking out by the explosive (radioactive) finale. Those guys are quite tallented, great drumming, soulful songs about real life stuff. I told my son that he could do that when he grows up.
Another beautiful Lake Tahoe night for all the out of towners.
People who don’t like this type of music should probably not attend this concert.
4-mer
I agree just keep it out of my house. I think Stateline is a great place for it.
