Orphaned bear cub saved in Lake Tahoe
By KXTV-TV
An orphaned baby bear cub is now safe thanks to a group of dedicated volunteers in Lake Tahoe.
The BEAR League, a non-profit organization in Lake Tahoe, said the orphaned cub named Bridger had been seen on his own without his mother, Jasper, for 10 days. Bridger’s sister had been killed by a car months earlier.
Nice job done by The Bear League in cooperation with NDOW, Nevada Division of Wildlife! Contrary to a vocal minority of Bear League detractors The Bear League has, does, and will continue to do good work in helping The Tahoe Basin become a place where humans and wildlife live in coexistence.
Thank you ladies. Great job!!!
Hopefully he never runs into a grumpy old man with a gun!
Many thanks for protecting your pet, Jasper.
Thank you Bear League ,Great JOB,Please people slow down there are a lot of bears out,and baby cubs.
I thought the NDOW were mad bear killers. Was the evil Carl Lacky involved? Also why does the BL name WILD animals??
Funny Sunriser2 that NDOW sees the useful benefits and assistance the Bear League may afford them even though the Bear League has been openly critical of CERTAIN NDOW actions, yet you as an armchair quarterback refuse to see the benefits of an organization that has thousands of hours collectively of bear behavior experience.
Go figure.
