Remains found near Spooner Summit in June 2014 have been identified as Ryan Wallace Osburn, 32, of Reno.

The investigation by Douglas County sheriff’s investigators concluded Osburn died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

The remains were found in King Canyon. Investigators also recovered personal property, a handgun, projectile and shell.

Prior to residing in Reno, Osburn lived in Ocala, Fla. He was a professional gambler.
