S. Tahoe man accused of felony DUI
A South Lake Tahoe man was arrested Friday on felony charges of driving while under the influence of alcohol causing injury.
Benjamin Bassett, 27, had a blood alcohol level of 0.11 percent, according to police officers.
He was going west on Pioneer Trail near Woodbine Road on July 3 about 2am when he reported lost control of the vehicle, causing it to rollover and land on the roof of the Chevrolet Trailblazer. The speed limit is 35 mph. South Lake Tahoe officers said Bassett was going more than 50 pmn.
A passenger was transported to Barton Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
