Gas prices may soon begin falling to levels not seen since the Great Recession in 2008 to under $2.50 a gallon in California and — gasp! — to below two bucks nationwide.

That would be a pleasant shock on the West Coast, coming just two weeks after rising nearly 75 cents overnight in Southern California to $4.30 a gallon.

If refineries continue producing at full capacity, the switch over to winter-blend gas in the fall/winter months, which is cheaper to produce and lower in demand prices may drop.

    I sure hope this doesn’t delay the development of butterfly and rainbow power.

    Unfortunately CNG and unicorn piss have proven to be ineffective at this altitude.

    Of course it will drop after the summer travel season. Totally predictable and works just like the global conglomerates want.

    I hope the butterfly and unicorn pee will pan out eventually…
