tap·       Trey Stone, Niall McGuinness and John Shipley are putting on a fund-raising concert for Tahoe Arts Project on Aug. 27 from 7-9pm at Lake Shore Lodge and Spa in South Lake Tahoe. Cost is $10.

·       Admission will be free Aug. 15-16 at the 20 museums in Placer County from Lake Tahoe to Roseville.

·       A last-minute lineup change for the Aug. 16 free outdoor concert at the Lake Tahoe Golf Course brings Fish out of Water back to the area. Locals in the Darren Senn Band will start off the free afternoon of live music at 4pm in Meyers.

·     The national fire preparedness level has been raised to its highest point, PL-5, for the first time since 2013. This designation permits further assistance from the military and international resources. The latest report places the total burn damage across the West at more than 6.4 million acres this season.

·      Tahoe Regional Young Professionals is hosting a mixer Aug. 18 from 6-9pm at the Tahoe Biltmore in Crystal Bay. It is free for members and $10 for non-members and includes one drink and appetizers.
