The 1960s local map, above, shows how Sonora Avenue used to join Highway 50. That junction was covered over by the construction of the Fantasy Inn, now named Postmarc.

The red X on the map is where the Lake Valley Fire Department station stood next to the Tahoe Shores Motel.
