’15 in commanding lead for Earth’s hottest year on record
By Jason Samenow, Washington Post
Planet Earth is on a high temperature record-breaking tear this year, which shows no sign of relenting. 2015 is, by far, on track to become the warmest year in recorded history.
NOAA reports this week the globally-averaged temperature for September 2015 was the warmest of all previous Septembers on record, dating back to 1880, and by an unprecedented margin of 0.19 degrees.
September is the fifth straight month of 2015 to set a record high. Seven of nine months this year have ranked as top warmest.
What kind of equipment were they using back in 1880 to record the temp and how accurate were they contrasted with todays temp monitoring equipment ??
Yeah, that’s my first inclination after reading this report, attack the accuracy of equipment from 1880……..pffffft.
The planet is heating up. Deal with it. Or, if your brain is damaged from constant delusion, deflect. Either way, it’s real.
The temperature is rising because there are too many dams.
What we need is a return of the glaciers to Tahoe.
Commanding lead? What is this…a race? An election?
Media is fueling the fire.
It’s impossible to tell the difference between attempts at satire and complete ignorance when the science deniers post regarding climate change-you would think nobody could come to such stupid conclusions- but you would be wrong
Um David, you do realize the thermometer and barometer were both invented in the 16th Century.
Also, the Speed of Light was measured in 1862.
Are you skeptical of the measurements taken or Science in general.
