Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care Sanctuary has two new residents for the winter , and these tiny cubs won’t have time to hibernate.

“They are so much underweight we’re going to have to feed them all winter to try to get them up to that 50-60 pounds,” explains Tom Millham, Secretary Treasurer of LTWC.

The male and female cubs recently came in from Sequioa National Park near Bakersfield, California.

One of the young bears weighed as little as 7 pounds when it arrived.
Now the goal is to get them to eat as much as possible.
