By Sarah D. Wire, Los Angeles Times

The Republican members of California’s delegation are demanding a government plan to store the deluge of water that could come with El Niño this winter.

Fourteen GOP lawmakers sent a letter to President Obama and Gov. Jerry Brown on Thursday asking for specifics about how federal and state agencies expect to capture, save and transport water.

A new federal forecast released last week showed El Niño is continuing to strengthen, with experts saying it’s on track to potentially produce record rainfall across the state.

Is a mini ICE AGE on the way? Scientists warn the sun will ‘go to sleep’ in 2030 and could cause temperatures to plummet. New study claims to have cracked predicting solar cycles. Says that between 2030 and 2040 solar cycles will cancel each other out. Could lead to ‘Maunder minimum’ effect that saw River Thames freeze over.

Leave it to the very people who haven’t had restraint in building, to scream ‘where’s the water?’ now. This needs to be a lesson for the entire state. We don’t need to make new laws to take No. California water to the thirsty south state. We need a state wide building moratorium.
Oh yeah, we have to keep building to increase the tax base so we can keep-up with those pension obligations.

The state water system is a design flaw in that it requires a pattern of the north receiving the moisture and then moving the water south, if all the precipitation goes south, it can’t be moved north. Senile Jerry should shelve his 20-50 billion waste on trains and tunnels and concentrate on water retention when it arrives. Common sense with Jerry isn’t present so the water will go into the ocean.

Kubby. Unfortunately, Zharkova’s estimates do not match the Carbon and Beryllium historical dating: Ort Minimum in 1100, Wolf Minimum in 1350, Sporer Minimum in 1500 and the Maunder Minimum 1700. We should have had another Minimum around 1900 and that did not happen. Also, the observations of Aurorae do not seem to match “Minimums” either.

What is known: CO2 is at 400ppm, and that has not been “seen” or measured in millions of years.

CO2 levels during the last Ice Age, 10,000 years ago, were about 180ppm.

Oceans are getting more acidic because they are absorbing more CO2, ph of 8.07 now versus 8.19 pre 1800’s.

Justn@ss. Lookup Central Valley Water Projects and the All American Canal Project in California… they started during the Great Depression era… Governor Jerry Brown was born in 1938 but I seriously doubt he engineered these projects back then.

Back to the Article. What is wrong with collecting rain water in barrels from rain gutters as were used in Australia.
