Moving rocks in Lake Tahoe so they would not scrape kayaks and creating an 8-foot-wide path 4 feet into the water as well as a rock line path in the sand cost Martis Camp Club $5,000.

The Tahoe Regional Planning Agency Governing Board approved the settlement agreement on Dec. 16.

The Beach Shack is located on the North Shore.

About 50 yards of shoreline was impacted.

The fine will be put in a trust for special research projects and other directed purposes. It is not used for general TRPA operating expenses.

I moved a rock under my slip when the water level dropped so it wouldn’t put a hole in my hull. Now I feel like a criminal.

Keep a pile of bear, a pile of coyote and a pile of racoon “caa caa poo poo doo doo” in the front yard so the children and tourists passing by on their way to the meadow can take a quick lesson on which “caa caa poo poo doo doo” to pick up while they are out there rummaging around with their coyote ‘baiters’.

Why and the heck can’t people leave things (rocks in this incident) in a natural state rather than being illegally disruptive for their convenience or benefit. Get a dang permit, be legal and accountable! The rest of us are…. People seem to think their entitled to everything.
