Revenues decline as Placer County conserves water

The Placer County Water Agency has a new budget for 2016 that anticipates a drop in expected expenditures.
The water agency’s budget for the coming year of $101.3 million represents an evolving financial landscape reflecting four years of drought in California.
“Our water and energy sales were down in 2015 as a result of the state’s conservation mandate and ongoing drought conditions,” General Manager Einar Maisch said. “While we hope a wet winter provides relief in 2016, we are planning for continued conservation.”
