· Tahoe National Forest’s Truckee Ranger District has been named District of the Year by the U.S. Forest Service’s Pacific Southwest Region.
· Caltrans District 3 employees provided more than $16,200 in cash donations and 747 pounds of food for local charities throughout the Sacramento Valley and Sierra regions as well as the Yuba-Sutter Chapter of the Salvation Army. Local charities included Sacramento Loaves and Fishes, Sacramento Food Bank, Food Bank of Nevada County and Christmas Cheer in South Lake Tahoe.
