·       Bryan Davis, Edgewood Companies marketing guy, has been appointed to the Douglas County Planning Commission. JoEtta Brown was reappointed. The elected county commissioners make those decisions.

·       South Lake Tahoe fire rescue is hosting a coats for kids drive this month. All donations will be distributed to children in need within South Lake Tahoe. Drop donations at any of the three fire stations now through Jan. 27.

·       The El Dorado County’s fair theme for 2016 is Cowboys and Carousels. The fair runs June 16-19 in Placerville.
