·       Vail Resorts has acquired Wilmot Mountain in Wisconsin near the Illinois state line.

·      Lake Tahoe South Shore Chamber of Commerce’s annual Connect for a Cause mixer at Riva Grill raised more than $800 for Bread & Broth 4 Kids. Attendees donated more than 10 bags of food for Bread & Broth and Christmas Cheer. And the chamber donated almost $1,200 to the nonprofits from door sales.

·      Lake Tahoe Chapter of the Antique & Classic Boat Society’s 2016 South Tahoe Wooden Boat Classic will be at the Tahoe Keys Marina in South Lake Tahoe on July 29-30. This year vintage race boats will be featured. For more info, go online.

·       Lake Tahoe Hard Rock presented the Tahoe Fund with $29,310. The money came from $1 donations from hotel stays during the resort’s first season of operation through a program called Green Bucks.

·       Douglas County has selected interim Human Resources Director Wendy Lang for the permanent position.
