West Slope fire chief accused of domestic violence
An El Dorado County fire chief is back behind bars — this time on domestic violence charges.
Garden Valley Fire Chief William Dekker was arrested early Jan. 13. Bail was set at $7,500.
Dekker, 60, was arrested in December on driving under the influence charges. On Dec. 22 the district announced that Dekker had resigned and the board appointed Linda Szczepanik as interim chief.
The problem is Dekker never turned in any paperwork to officially resign so he has been getting paid to not work.
Financial details of the resignation have not been released.

I bet he beat up his boy friend……..
Once again- a picture is worth a thousand words……
It’s really hard to believe that such a staunch republican, believer in the lord, responsible gun owner and fox news/rush Limbaugh fan could actually commit such atrocities. I think that the victim’s entire life should be scrutinized before we draw any conclusions.
Haha!! That hose dragger looks a little worried!!
He probably was an O-Bummer supporter as that kind of fraud is easier to hide. The conservatives would never put up with him.
So… in the public sector, if you do not turn in your paperwork, you still get paid! Sign me up. I could start as a community organizer.
Take a good look, this is the face of the tea party, which is the dominant party in that part of EDC.
I thought we were all going to be decent with our comments. Why don’t you all go beat on a pillow to get rid of your hostilities. Especially when you don’t have all the facts …
Ditto Lois
This amounts to kicking a man while he is down, which nobody needs.
He is a disturbed man and needs some help. I hope “the system” sees that he gets it.
There but for the grace of god go all of us.
Justn. Oh, so you want to make domestic violence case into your political statement…ok.
No, I think this is guy was taking selfies in Abu Ghraib prison with “Candy” Rice for your buddies Bush and Rumsfeld.
