Tahoe’s threatened meadows get a lifeline

They’re some of the best places in the Tahoe basin for wildlife habitat or a picnic.

But if the region’s meadows are going to survive climate change and other threats they’re going to need some human help.

That’s why the U.S. Forest Service selected six meadows for a restoration project set to launch by summer of 2017.
