History of Minden focus of 2 events

The founder of the town of Minden — Fred Dangberg Jr. — will come to life next weekend in a Chautauqua performance.

Mike Hall will portray Dangberg on July 23 at the Dangberg Home Ranch Historic Park.

On July 24, author Steve “Dink” Achard will discuss his book “Lost Legacy of Carson Valley”. Achard is the grandson of Dangberg.

Both events are free and start at 10am.

The park is located at 1450 Highway 88 in Minden. Bring chairs. Dogs are not allowed.
