Jake O’Malley

A Go Fund Me account  has been established to help with the funeral costs for Jake O’Malley.

The Whittell High School grad was a wildland firefighter for the Bureau of Land Management based out of Winnemucca. While on duty July 10 his engine was involved in a single vehicle accident. O’Malley and his roommate, Will Hawkins, died. One other firefighter survived.

There will be a  memorial service for the two firefighters on July 19 at 1pm at the Winnemucca Events Complex, 1000 Fairgrounds Road.
