TAMBA building trails, raising money

Tahoe Area Mountain Biking Association is having a trail building day July 9.

From 9am to 3pm crews will be helping to build the new Kingsbury Stinger Trail. Work will be on a new section of trail about one half mile from the trailhead.

Meet at 9am at the end of North Benjamin/Andria Drive (Tahoe Rim Trail’s Kingsbury North trailhead.

Lunch will be provided by Base Camp Pizza and there will be a post work barbecue.

Wear sturdy shoes, long pants and long sleeves. Helmets will be required; a bike helmet counts. Bring water and a bike to test ride after.

That night a 8 will be a TAMBA fundraising part at  Chimayo Street Grill on Ski Run Boulevard in South Lake Tahoe. Money is being raised for a new trail system at Fallen Leaf Lake and Angora Ridge to be built in the near future.
Chimayó will donate 15 percent of all sales to help build the new trails. And all donations from the night will be matched.
