Low water level is forcing the closure of Sand Harbor boat ramp.

Officials said the closure will prevent boats from being damaged during launching and also protect the end of launch lanes from harm.

The parking lot will remain open for non-motorized, carry-in boat access.

The closure starts Aug. 5 at 6am.
