Authorities say a Bay Area man has died after collapsing while biking on the Tahoe Rim Trail.

Charles Brust, 64, of Pacifica collapsed the morning of Aug. 8. He had started from the Spooner Lake area.

Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says a retired paramedic began CPR and continued until Tahoe Douglas firefighters and Douglas County deputies arrived.
