Migration brings a variety of birds through the Lake Tahoe Basin as migrant birds head south for winter.
Tahoe Institute for Natural Science is hosting two walks to see the migrating birds.
Kirk Hardie will lead an easy stroll around Spooner Lake and through a variety of habitats in search of migrant birds on Sept. 17, 8:30-11:30am. Go online to register for the free event.

On Sept 18 from 9-11am, Rich Chambers, an avid birdwatcher and TINS board member, will leads a birding adventure in Rabe Meadow in Stateline. To sign up for the free walk, go online.
