Rash of commercial vehicle thefts in Truckee

Truckee police officers are investigating a series of thefts that have occurred in the area in the past few weeks.

Several unlocked commercial vehicles have been stolen from behind secured fences on private property and subsequently used in the commission of numerous thefts.

TPD urges business owners to be vigilant in locking up their vehicles and properties. If you have an alarm at your business, don’t forget to arm it before you leave.

At this point, there are no outstanding stolen vehicles.
