Truckee K-9, handler earn top honor

Truckee police Officer Andrew Holbrook and Trax have been named the top narcotics competitor of the year by the Western States Police Canine Association.

Holbrook and Trax competed in five of the six K-9 trials this year. They earned eight awards, including two overall first place finishes.

Trax joined the Truckee Police Department in the fall 2013 when he was 2.
