Placer County sales tax would help road conditions

A ballot measure in Placer County would impose a sales tax increase that could impact everyone who commutes or shops via Interstate 80, Highway 65 and other roads in the county.
The passage of Measure M would impose a half-percent increase in the retail sales tax to raise funds for transportation improvements.
Some commuters said it is easy to spot areas where road repairs or improvements are needed.
