The Gondola Vista Estates condo project is going before the South Lake Tahoe Planning Commission on Nov. 10.

The 20 condos would be built on Lake Parkway between Heavenly’s gondola and the state line.

Planning commissioners will consider a major design review permit, negative declaration addendum, and a variance from the city’s trash enclosure ordinance.

The meeting will be at Lake Tahoe Airport at 3pm.

For more info, contact John Hitchcock, city planner, at 530.542.7472.

Nov 10th you say? Airport? Really, how many can take the day off and get out to the airport to find out what’s going to happen next in the center of town?

Remember the ‘HOLE’, will these condos have a good view of the ‘HOLE’?

This one smells bad. The project is in the loop road right of way, crosses a road that STPUD has an easement for and has said they know nothing about, has no affordable housing, which was in the original plan, and is next to an sez. Their attorney is Lew Feldman so they will propose to mitigate everything which they can’t. It’s after the city council election so who knows. The fix would be in if you know who gets elected.

A variance on the trash enclosure ordinance? Why not? The city has never enforced that ordinance, ever. One only has to look anywhere around the town to realize it’s a dumpster heaven. The city has totally failed in its responsibility to enforce this ordinance and the town looks worse for it. If you don’t enforce an ordinance why bother having it?

….dumpster heaven you say?…feeding the bears!
….the city has totally failed in it’s responsibility…

Really?? and ‘they’ should be planning anything with the HOLE masters??

Just for the public record, for those who don’t know please furnish, the readers, with a list of Council members, City Manager, and City Attorney that were in office when the HOLE was approved.

“The fix would be in if you know who gets elected.”
Wouldn’t the fix already be in on the planning commission ?
Talk about a bad reputation, does anyone have a worse one than Lew Feldman ? Well, Randy Lane.
