Expect smoke to continue to fill the Lake Tahoe Basin and Reno areas. It’s coming from the Eldorado National Forest.

The U.S. Forest Service so far has burned 159 acres in the Pack Saddle Pass-Silver Fork Road area south of Highway 50 near Kyburz.

Smoke sensitive individuals are encouraged to reduce their exposure by staying indoors. Anyone driving in smoky conditions should use extra caution.

For more information on the prescribed fire program, go online.
