· State Controller Betty Yee awarded El Dorado County Auditor-Controller Joe Harn with the Financial Transaction Reporting award. According to Yee, “El Dorado County’s reporting excellence helps the state controller publish accurate and useful local government financial data in the Counties Annual Report. Thank you Joe Harn for standing up for the taxpayers and citizens of EDC. Fortunately you are an elected official who has the wherewithal to stand up to the BOS when they demand you write checks for illegal activities. The BOS tried to make your office appointed not elected so they could have absolute control over the county auditor-controller and force him or her to be their lackey and write whatever illegal checks they wanted. But they lost that battle, thank goodness.
You are a good man Joe. Keep up the good work.
